This was an interview about the Japan to Korea expedition I did a few months ago with FM Washoi based out of Yamaguchi, Japan. Looking back it funny how much I vastly underestimated the difficulty of this kayak expedition. After the dust settled…3 days and 200 Kilometers turned into 25 days and almost 300 Kilometers.
On August 30th, Mike and Koji gave a presentation at LABO in Murazumi about the Japan to Korea kayak expedition and beach trash. We talked about many things ranging from the first time Mike went to Tsunoshima beach and saw the sheer amount of trash polluting our beaches, to the initial conversation Koji and Mike had about kayaking to Korea. We also passed out some trash art which allowed the participants see and touch beach trash. We are very thankful for this great opportunity to share our thoughts and ideas about the importance of environmental protection.
